Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Elliott Taylor, an American actress and screen actress and producer. Her best-known role is as a movie actress, for her roles as a character in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She has a Bachelor's degree in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue is an actress in theater and film who is a producer. Her acting career started in the theater. She then appeared in various TV shows in independent films, mainstream and film. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico while also appearing in BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she was praised by critics and received a variety of nominations and distinctions including her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. In 1995, she was the first actress to make her debut on stage in The Tempest as Ariel. She's appeared in Broadway on stage in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Coming to her movie career her most notable work is her performances in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. She is also well-known for her work on ABC's crime drama High Incident.
